TORI HEADS OFF TO THE COUNTRY MUSIC CAPITAL TAMWORTH

Tori Darke, 16 of Mt Annan heads to Tamworth for the CCMA Winter Festival. Tori along with many other up and coming country singers are on their way to Tamworth to compete against each other for the Prestigious Award of the “Overall Mid Winter Country Music Festival champion. The festival celebrates its 15th anniversary this year and is expected to attract over 10,000 fans over the four days with a huge line up of entertainment with Beccy Cole, Gina Jeffreys, Tracy Coster and many other artists coming together for this annual event, This is a very exciting time for Tori as she will also perform as a guest artist on The Cattleman Steakhouse Stage helping to raise money for The Westpac Helicopters.

LOCAL GIRLS RETURN FROM TAMWORTH

Tori Darke, 16 of Mt Annan & Christie Lamb 15 of Kirkham have returned from Tamworth both taking out 1st places in individual categories at the ‘Hats Of To Tamworth’ country music festival. Tori a grand finalist in 6 categories and Christie a grand finalist in two with Tori taking out 1st place in Gospel and Christie receiving the Luke Newton Memorial trophy 1st place award in Country Rock. Tori was also a guest artist performing at ‘The Cattleman Steakhouse Stage’ helping to raise money for The Westpac Helicopters.
This is the 15th consecutive year that the ‘Hats Of To Tamworth’ festival has been running giving young up and coming talented artists a chance to perform to large audiences to try to make their mark in country music. Professional country artists who also started here were Beccy Cole, Gina Jeffreys and Felicity Urquhart who will be performing on stage at the Campbelltown RSL Club on Sunday 29th July.
Tori & Christie also took out 2nd & 3rd places in the NSW/ACT Championship Nationals held in November last year at the Campbelltown Catholic Club and have qualified again for the championships this year which will be held at St. Mary’s Leagues Club on 19th November.
